Finally a solution to leaking and a way to sleep without wearing a bra! I've been using lilypadz for about a month now and I must say that I LOVE them. When I started breastfeeding my daughter I was using the traditional round cotton pads that you have to put inside your bra to soak up leaks. I hated them because they look terrible under a snug fitting shirt, they don't always absorb all the liquid, and they can shift out of position leaving you with no protection at all. I assumed it was just a necessary evil to breastfeeding because I didn't know something as wonderful as lilypadz existed! I have to admit, when I first saw them advertised I was skeptical. This milk stays in there until you take the pad off or it gets so big it "blows out," which is really a mess. When the nipple is exposed to this constant moisture, it is a prime target for a thrush infection. So, I still think they are worth the money, but use them only occasionally. Another tip I would offer would be to empty your milk before you wear them to bed (i.e., feed from both breasts or even better, pump them both). That way, you minimize leakage for the night. Also, if you are prone to leaking a lot, I recommend sleeping on a towel to save your...
